Personalised Pendants for Men, Engraved Into the Metal
The personalised pendant is the piece that carries a story. A name. A set of initials. A coordinate that marks a place. A date that marks a moment. Monrich personalised pendants take that story and cut it into 18K gold PVD plated stainless steel — laser-engraved into the metal before plating, then sealed under the PVD layer so the text never wears. The engraving sits inside the metal, not on top of the plating. Five years in, the text is still as sharp as the day it shipped.
Name Plates, Initial Discs, Coordinate Bars, Date Pendants
The personalised range covers the four most-engraved shapes. The name plate — a rectangular pendant sized for up to 12 characters, the everyday personalised piece. The initial disc — round, sized for 1–3 letters, the minimalist option. The coordinate bar — a horizontal bar with latitude/longitude, often a place that matters (a home, a meeting point, a birthplace). The date pendant — a small disc engraved with DD/MM/YYYY, often a child's date of birth or an anniversary. Each shape carries the same PVD-plated stainless steel base and the same laser engraving process.
Why Engraving Into the Metal Beats Engraving Onto Plating
The cheap end of the personalised pendant market engraves the text onto the plating layer — the laser scratches a line into the surface gold. The problem: the engraving wears through within months, leaving a faint outline. Monrich engraves into the bare metal before plating, then runs the full PVD process over the engraved surface. The plating fills into the engraved channels and seals them. The text reads sharp from above, the metal stays sealed across the surface, and the engraving is as durable as the rest of the piece.
Pair With a Standard Pendant or Wear Alone
The personalised pendant wears strongest alone — the story is the piece, no need to crowd it. For a layered look, pair it with a non-personalised piece — a cross pendant or dog tag on a separate chain at a different length.
